Orientation preset

Applies to the selected part. Tilted presets raise the part by its support gap — generate real supports in your support tool; the gap reserves the space honestly.

Lift raises the case on its supports; negative lift sinks it below the plate — anything under the plate is cut and will not print (standard slicer plate-cut). Seat on plate returns lift to 0.

Uniform scale (%)

Keyboard: arrow keys move 1 mm (Shift = 5 mm) · Q / E rotate Z ±5°. Orient-to-face: tap the intaglio or fitting surface — it turns to face the plate, exactly like your slicer.

Allow 90° turns around Z during nesting

Z turns apply to cases without supports. Supported cases keep their current orientation; linked cases need manual arrangement.

True-shape nesting (bottom-left, 4 rotations) — packs against each case's real outline, so arches and concave bases nest into each other. Drag to fine-tune; collisions glow red.

Case gap is the minimum space between case outlines; 0 allows separate outlines without an extra gap. Edge inset reserves space inside the bed. Printed support feet and branches must also stay inside that space and clear other cases. Red placement or an unresolved spacing check blocks slicing and export.

Protect support-contact faces

Mark the faces you want automatic support tips to avoid. Purple shows your marks; the pale preview shows one face. You choose the surface. Stop marking to orbit the view.

Select a case to mark faces.

Existing supports stay in place. A manual contact on a marked face warns for review. If protection prevents a support proposal, choose another contact or orientation explicitly. Unsupported islands and collisions still block export.

Auto-support checks the plate first, then places supports only where a case would otherwise start printing in the air. If a case rests flat on the plate, nothing may be needed — that is correct. To place your own, use Support mode and click the model. Review the support plan before printing.

For appliances/templates that must print elevated (attachment templates, IBTs, guides): lifts each case, then builds an even support forest under the whole underside with rows along the rims — desktop-slicer style. Models printing flat on the plate don't need this. A screening aid — review every tip before printing.
